Dont think it was England being pants.... first half we was pretty good, just didnt have the time and space to play their football, reminded me alot of the chelsea/Liverpool game in the Champions league....
N.I played extremely well and showed some good fitness levels to keep us at bay... Well done them I say, maybe theyve done us a favour in the sense that we can sack Sven now

Well done to NI for winning but they are a 4th rate team and shouldn't have had a hope in hell.
England are a joke.

Its crap lads weve sometimes looked like we can match anyone when we play 4-4-2 so WHY CHANGE ?
And the thing that bugs me the most WHY does Sven keep on playing lads that clearly are not fit ie. Steven Gerrard tonight he did it with Becks in the last world cup!!!! And we clearly need a PROPER left sided player they don't have to be quick just skillful ie Stewart Downing when fit or even at the outside Gareth Barry not the quickest but reliable so Cole can bomb on like he usually does
Win the world cup???????????? We'll be lucky to get past the group stages in Germany if we continue like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We should stick to what we do best 4 4 2 with Beckham on the right and Rooney /Owen up front.
Thats how we beat Germany 4-0.Fergie always played Beckham on the right as well.

rubbish, wasn't it?
it's interesting to compare the england rugby XV of 2003, the current england cricket XI and the current england football XI.
the first beat the best southern hemisphere side in the world with arguably the most potent rugby XV ever fielded in probably the toughest contact sport in the world and also away from home - on the other side of the world.
the second has spent the last 15 years cultivating youth and talent to develop our longest continued spell of winning cricket as no. 2 seed in the world, taking on another world-beating australian side in arguably the subtlest, most unpredictable and most skilled sport in the world - and has forced our oldest sporting foe to stare defeat in the face through a stunning combination of skill, motivation, aggression, pride and unity.
and the latter? well, tonight's result says it all. consistently top 10 seeded, we can't even beat a side seeded around 44 in the world rankings. in a world cup qualifier. when we have, on paper, yet another quality side.
all our other major sports run in cycles of respectable success. with the sole exception of football - unless a 40 year cycle of success at the highest level can be defined as acceptable (if anyone can really believes we can actually take the 06 world cup).
but then again, when the manager has been twice caught with his pecker in either a celebrity or a kiss-and-tell honeytrapper, whose pitchside demeanour is to sit still and say nothing and fights shy of hands-on input in training, then what can you expect? the fish rots from the head down - and england football is rotten - with perhaps the sole exceptions of beckham and owen.
more's the pity. in fact, bobby moore would be sick to his stomach were he still alive.
what a desperately bad show ...
