and out come all the haters.

Any true football fan would look at what the man has achieved with Manchester United and comment on him as a player.

Best player of his ilk the Premiership has seen. A football Legend. Sad how he has left but he will be remembered for all the Trophies he lifted in his 12 years.

Celtic will surely be his destination, though I'm not sure he and Wee Gordon Strachan will get on.

I think he'll be Celtic before the months out, they 'released' him meaning he is now free to join whoever, if he was still contracted he'd have to wait till Jan 1st.

He is good player and was truly amazing a few years back when his legs could do what he wanted them to do. [and no they don't now have a mind of there own ]

Yeah he's also the one who set out to deliberately cripple another player, just because he "annoyed" him the year before. He then wrote about it in his autobiography. Nice bloke. Can't question his commitment though.

oh god, another there perfect and i can be screwed enough punter!!

if our footballing nation is that good, why dont we win the world cup every year, why arnt all other teams in the world having 10 out of 11 english players.

becase they are overpaid primadonnas who are hyped up by the media and the masses.

lets face it if you went to a garage an they said they wanted the best part of
100 pounds to check the oil and it would take 90 minutes, you would be screaming blue murder..

yet they can ponce around a footy pitch for 90 minutes and not a bad word said about them.

sorry overpaid and overhyped..

But rather than retire now, he will probably end up going some conference team somewhere.

Oh god you've opened a can of worms there mate

Some of what Keane did wouldn't be tolerated in a boxing ring, lets face it.

What are you on? Is the Brazilain Football League the best int he world? no its not but nobody can argue that the country is the best at playing football. Nobody has a team of 10 out off 11 brazilians either... ohh and whats your point anyhow? the guy isnt even English so why are you talking about our English nation?

My opinion on Keane is hes a quality footballer and a superb person who you would want in your team for the youth to look upto. Yes hes a double hard bassa and as STi says you need to be in the position he plays in. Hes still an arrogant and nasty cvnt though... that cannot be denied. but I do have respect for his footballing ability.

Yep - kicking a football in a boxing ring seems to be frowned upon during the big fight
