R.I.P. George Best

Whatever your thoughts on the man he was a footballing genius, the greatest player ever as cited by both Pele and Maradona, high praise indeed, maybe not as good as Maradona or scored as many goals as Pele but the complete player IMHO.

Football's favourite son has finally escaped all the hurting, may he rest in peace.

His favourite song was "Vincent" by Don McLean, very apt words.

I don't think there will be a mindless minority, I fully expect a good send off but as you say it will be interesting!, it seems to me that he was appreciated by all football fans, he's only disliked in NSR
