HATTON

I follow Hatton too. I think he's very lucky to have been given the decision. I thought it was a lot closer and when the judges scorecards were read thought Hatton had lost
Its a serious wake up call. He HAS to work on his defence. As we both know, a harder hitter would have dispensed him.
Do you think he will stay as a Welterweight or go back down. He has to do a couple more fights as he is obligated to in his HBO contract.

as youve stated, put him up againt a big hitter and it could be a different story,he was very lucky last nite,i dont know if you heard his after fight interview but he said he was in no danger in the last round but i think that was a cover up-he was definatly hurt! As for staying at welterweight i hope he does,he's the king of light-welter so he should move on,but like he said depends on what fight is best for him next.

I did listen to the interview.
Not many boxers will admit to being that hurt in the post fight chat though.
He is naturally a welterweight so if he sorts his diet and training out should be ok at the weight but needs to find some more power. Nothing wrrong with his work rate but he did look a little one dimensional in the fight.
Having said that, the opponent was not your usual cannon fodder.
Don King might have kept a lot of stats about him secret as that was baptism by fire for Hatton.
