Scoreline flattered The bigots... err sorry Celtic. Should have been 7 - 3 with the chances each team had.

Gutted in the end, never a penalty. The mancs certainly created a few more chances but Boruc was on top form.

As for the 'should have been 7-3 nonsense comment', if my auntie had baws she'd be my uncle.
Aren't goalkeepers part of the 11 man team! Just because a striker gets a clear chance and the keeper make a save, doesn't mean it should be a goal.

I have worked in England for a number of years and every time Celtic have played an English team I have to listen to everyone bleating on about how we are going to get stuffed. When will you learn.....you will never get an eaasy game against us.

'Mon the hoops

oh and please explain 'the bigots' comment, or was it just the usual uninformed ignorant throw away statement........

The press beforehand suggested that Celtic would be taught a football lesson, maybe the lesson was not to underestimate your opponents?
Man u. are a good/great? team and but for refs awful display could have dropped two point at home to an "workmanlike" Celtic side, I have watched all Celtics games this season and if the game Benfica/Copenhagen is anything to go by this group will have two UK clubs going through.
Cmon the TIC.
PS. ask any club if they want "the bigots" for a well respected players testimonial and they will ALL give you the same ans.
PPs I hope Rangers win tonight

Man U were by far the better team and unfortunate not to win in the region of 7-3... The shots stats of 20-6 showed how much better the reds were... Had United finished like we know they can, it could easily have been a total drubbing...
The scoreline was very very kind on Celtic...
The ref was abysmal for both sides too, so whilst we all know it wasn't a pen when Giggs was contacted by the Celtic keeper, we also know that many other decisions which influenced the game for both teams were wrong also... If the losing team, who lost, want to whinge about the pen then fine, cling onto your hopes and dreams
Celtic wont get out of the group, bless 'em

God this gets on my tit end. We paid good money for a good goalkeeper and he makes up part of our 11 man team. They we not unfortunate not to score 7 goals, they came up against a keeper who had a great game........he is part of the celtic team.
People who ignore the contribution a keeper makes to a team know nothing about football.............ok so they created more chances than us and ok they have a better team 'on paper'.......but you don't automatically get a goal for every chance you create...........oh and you don't play football on paper.
It comes down to skill, fitness, passion, luck and who know what else.............man for man skill wise they are better than us, I can admit that but there is just a wee bit more involved when it comes to agame of football.

Your stat of 20-6 shots doesn't show how much better Man Utd were, if anything it shows they can't shoot!

Think what theyre trying to say is that United dominated the game a little more than Celtic did.

FWIW I was cheering on the Scots last night, cant stand United.

I think that by the time Man U come to paradise they will have already quailified and as long as Celtic do well against the others I think if its down to winning that game to qualify then Celtic will do it. I know there is never a meaningless game in the champions league and even players in for "rested" big names will be playing for a place in the team, there cannot be more desire from Man u(qualified) than a Euro night at Parkhead. Even if Utd have not qualified I still expect Celtic to win all home games. (Barca/Juve Et all).

The point was that, regardless of who was in goal, we should have finished more of our clear-cut chances.

Not being able to put the ball in the net dented my optimism, as you can imagine.

I was at Old Trafford for the Benfica clash and we were extremely lucky to come away with three points - our only win in six.

We scored as many against Celtic on Wednesday night as we did in the whole group stage last year. It's looking much more rosy this time around.

We were missing one of our best players (Ronaldo) and Rooney was only semi-fit.

It was a really exciting game, I never personally felt all throughout that celtic would win though. I just felt MU could have upped the pace at any time.

MU never try to close a game down which makes for exciting games.

Bring on the ****
