has anyone played Carnoustie/ Buddon Links/ Burnside?
there was an advert in a golf mag about playing combination green fees at these courses for £150, which seems a great deal just had a look on their site and that price is the sumer deal.
winter price is £73!! for all 3! how cheap is that?!
so, a few questions:-
i'd be playing with my dad who's over 70. he's a good golfer so him coping with the courses doesn't concern me, it's the walking. all 3 courses have to be played in 3 days and i can't see any mention of buggies.
so are they long, up & down walks or not too bad?
if 3 courses were a bit much for him there's an option to play 2 of the 3 courses (it's mad though, there's only £5 difference between playing 2 or 3 rounds!)
so what would be the best combination? obviously we'd play the championship course, but what's the better experience between the Buddon and Burnside?
and lastly, how crap does the weather get between november and march up there? is this the reason the green fees are half price
any advice or personal experiences would be much appreciated
cheers,
Paul

Hi mate, can only comment on Carnoustie and how amazing it is!
I imagine the weather is pretty in and out (favouring out) at the moment hence the cheap fees. Just go and enjoy it, rude not to for that money
