i agree that its a good choice, but not the turning it around bit

He ticks all the boxes as a captain apart from maybe his age but then again he's played a hell of a lot more than most players his age.

Good Choice - Although I've a sneaky feeling Matthew Upson could return to Arsenal in January and take that Arm band ....

Just a feeling..

Real and Barca will both come knocking for Cesc in the summer and if Ars*nal fail to win anything this season, for the fifth season in a row, he'll tempted to go.
This is a last roll of the dice by Wenger to try and keep him.

I'm hoping United come in with a cheeky bid. At least they'll pay the lad the wages he could earn. Arsenal are shackling themselves with this wage structure.

I could see him taking over the Scholes role. Only player I've seen come close to being as good as the ginger magician. Scholes would be free to go to Oldham then in a couple of years

I'll eat peanuts out of my **** if Cesc goes to Man u

The comment about it being the last roll of the dice to keep him couldnt be anymore spot on!! From his reactions he is honoured to be given the arm band and hopefully he can step it up(he has been inconsistant) and others will follow.
5 seasons without a trophy is hard to swallow for a supporter never mind a player who is arguably one of the top 5 midfielders in the world(flamesuit on )
