I always parked at Old Trafford Cricket ground, 5 minute walk to the stadium.

I dont know if they still open their car park on match days, cant see why not they made money out of it !!

Lancashire County Cricket Club, Talbot Road, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0PX.

If you are coming from the west, head up Talbot rd and onto great Stone Road. There are a couple of schools just along there where you can park.

Trafford park rd is another worth checking out.

Edited to say, I assume you meant the football stadium

If it's a 3PM kick off, get up there for midday, walk across to the corner of Sir Matt Busby way, visit the bookies, get yourself fish and chips. Then wander down to the megastore, soak up the atmosphere. Easily kill a couple of hours.

There are a couple of pubs, three or four takeaways, newsagents etc at the corner. Two pubs as well but you'll be lucky to get in there. i used to go to the social club further down and nearer to where you park, tends to be less in there.

Make a whole day with a visit to the Trafford Centre in the morning.

Haven't been for a few years since I moved darn sarf though.

I park on the business park as you come from the city centre towards the ground. Think its Staples car park, 5 min walk max and its manned at the gates so very safe. £5 if I remember correctly, been a couple of years since ive been to that sh!thole

Dont park near or on the estate, unless you dont want a car when you get back
best to either tram it in and park in manchester or park at one of the designated area's with security
Oh and keep your doors locked around there when driving!

If approaching via the M60, then A56, we park in about 10min walk away, in Davyhulme Road East.

I bit of a walk, but easy parking, and actually saves time when leaving, walk to car, carry on to end of Davyhulme, turn left and it brings you out on the A56 past the big cues.
