sti grille badges, do they need pins to put em on the grille will strong double sided sticky work ???

Double sided tape will do the trick, stronger the better though to keep it there

god but im thick today, please forgive my densness, its the fron grille sti badge im having some cognitive difficulty trying to grasp, so will one of you enlightened and helpful patient people please do me an idiot guide, are you saying, just stick double sided on the sti plastic badge and it will have enought stickiness to get a solid attatchment to the wire mesh of the grille of the car ?? or do i wrap it around the pegs on the back of the badge or what ?????????????????????
go on take pity on me and fully explain it
