Bonnet Lifters
Does anyone know of a company in UK that supplies the bonnet lifters, usually piston types, and normally two, one each side,
I want to dump the usual black one I have on my classic for something a bit more bling, bling,
Thanks Kevin.

Granby and Catsteve
Thankyou for you comments,
Granby on both websites the bonnet lifters are for 2002 to 2005 cars as is the tein ones, is that because the chassis on my 1995 car is different and hasn't got the clearance to hold the struts??????
Catsteve , if you can make these for the classics that would be superb I just dont know looking in my engine bay if there is enough of a gully to bolt these to the inside of the wing and allow the bonnet to close, (if that makes sense )
If people want to register their interest in these on this thread then that would be worth while, maybe a groupbuy when the right ones come along???
Cheers Kevin

I've had an e mail from a company in America whe are currently making chrome sets for the classic shape, when they are ready they are going to e mail me, but I don't know how long thats going to be.
The price will be around the same as the TEIN ones for the later models so thats around $145 so around £70 plus shipping????????????

I still find it hard to believe the bonnet closes without any problems as there is not much room in the wing gulley for the strut to close!!!!!!
Do you have any problems at all, for instance when you close the bonnet do you hear any knocking noises ie the strut hitting the bonnet???????
If not, looking forward to the end result
Kev.

the side edge of the bonnet sits about an inch above the bolted part of the inner wing so there is enough room for the lifters to sit there quite snugly!
have seen these on other cars and they look good and guarantee that your not gonna put your windscreen through on a windy night in a shell station far far away...........

Has anymore happened on these?? I desperately want a set of bonnet lifters to fit a Classic Subaru, but fear I will have to adapt some from another car to fit!
Any of the previous posters on this thread got anymore info, as a couple of group buys were mentioned earlier on it??
