halford brake caliper paint is applied with a brush. you can remove caliper without disconnecting flexible hose, tie it to suspension leg and paint it. if you split caliper or remove hose you will have to bleed system. look for article on replacing disks for tips on removing caliper.

Strictly speaking, I'd say the EASIEST way to paint the calipers is just to remove the pads.
Then you can clean them up with brake cleaner, or even detergent and a stiff brush.
I've painted loads of calipers on my own, and the lads' cars. We have always done it by hand, using Smoothrite, the smooth version of Hammerite.
It's available in all sorts of colours, gloss and metallic, and is FAR, FAR cheaper than brake paint. It DOES NOT suffer from heat, and dries in around 20 minutes. Two coats with 20 minutes between, the wheel goes back on and you're away. I've done an entire car in an afternoon with plenty of stops for coffee.

I agree, Hammerite works really well, as long as you get the surface as clean as possible and take it easy - it will run if you go mad!
The stuff sold as caliper paint is a rip off.
You can also mix it with other colours to make your own shade.
