Default Replica STI 8 Spoilers

The time is coming when I will be going to purchase an STI 8 spoiler. The one I've been looking at is from DR Motorsport, good price at £300 painted. Just wanting to hear your views on this spoiler eg. what is made from, finish, quality, ease of fittment etc.

If anyone has knowledge of any other replicas that are good I'd like to hear about them too.

Thanks.

hi mate,

i was tempted to buy a replica spoiler, but would have bought one in abs plastic instead of fibreglass, however i just managed to buy a genuine one off ebay for £200 today, also andy @ scoobyteknix offered me a genuine one yesterday for decent money.........rather that that any replica., keep your eyes peeled it'll look better

Hi, cheers for the reply. I was tempted by the genuine one but not really keen on drilling loads more holes in my boot lid. Heard its about 14 in total. Do you know who does good ones in ABS instead of fibreglass?

I've bought spoilers in the past for people from a guy from ebay, his username on there is: tradepryce

and their website is Creative Auto: Enter Site | Car Accessories, Auto Styling, Bodykits, BMW, Lights, Performance, Parts, Alloys, Bumpers, Angel Eyes, 4x4

not the best looking of websites but the spoilers really are good

I am really keen to know what the DR Motorsport rep spoiler is like. Anyone got one? Also, if I went a got a genuine one, how easy are they to fit with all the new holes you have to drill? Is there a template to use, how do you stop the new holes rusting and leaking?

I got a painted one from scoobyworld for my scooby. Really pleased with it but it is heavy and you have to remeber when closing the boot.

Think I read somewhere before that the STI has stronger struts to hold the boot lid open, I'll see how bad it is when I get a new spoiler fitted and maybe get a set.
