My ally boonet has corrosion and paint is bubbling and cracking can it be re spray...

ed with out it cracking again 6 months down the line. a painter told me i cant but SURELY it can be treated?

Of course it can, you just need to remove the corrosion first and then repaint!

I'm not sure what alloy these bonnets are made from but I have worked with a lot of aluminium alloys on aircraft.

Before painting we would either etch prime the surface or have the surface
annodised to prevent oxidisation (rust)

Normal primers or paint only will never last.
