I'm looking at fitting a functional Spec-C style roof vent on my bug but finding it difficult to track down a newage one![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyone know if there is much difference between the newage and classic roof-vent kits

thats where i got mine from, which i am finally going to fit in the next week or so, but i seem to remember paying alot less!
Might be worth noting the part numbers and see if your local dealer can order them in, as they might be cheaper.

I fitted one to my Bugeye last weekend, got the kit second hand from eBay for £200 from a breakers, I had to respray it 01G Silver. They seem to come up only once in a blue moon second hand so I just bought it! They seem to have rocketed in price direct from Japan, plus they only supply them in black, white and blue so I'd have to respray it anyway!

Mine is DBM, and it's the only colour I've not seen listed, but I'm thinking about a full respray anyway so may carbon wrap it in the interim

Ive fitted loads and theyre a different kit and a different shape.
Japanparts.com is your best bet.
All the kits i have fitted have come from there. Get what you pay for im afraid mate. Could also try jap performace, they break JDM models and often have SH vent kits.

Jap performance have loads of classic ones in but no newage. £400+, combined with my other plans, is too much so I'll just have to wait for one to come up second hand rather than buy a new new

As above, classic and new age are def different. Try Dave at API he may have one. Also sorry to high jack this thread but does anyone know the part number for the studs securing the flap to the roof skin - one of mine has sheared.

Then there's the flaps as fitted to spec-c's and RAs that allow extra ventilation into the cabin

Once I have the cash in the bank I'll make a decision whether or not to risk it

I'm going to get all the part numbers together and see what Japparts can do for me, they've been able to get some other stuff for me in the past.
