front lip - Jun vs P1

Hi guys.. i have a classic v2 sti.. currently have a broken jun style front lip on it and was thinking of getting a p1 style front lip on.. i read somewhere that the P1 front lip does not sit quite so close to the ground.. is this true? cos it would help!

I've had both and I like both.
What swings it for me is the material - The plastic ones I found better as it doesn't chip as easy and they do bend a little so a bit more forgiving if you touch a curb.
I got my P1 from htautos - http://www.htautos.co.uk/first_6.html#
Don't get the cheap GRP spoilers from ebay unless you're prepared to do a lot of prep for it to fit etc
There's really not much difference between the newer shape front and older one (apart from the gaps for the brake ducts on the newer one) so not sure how one P1 spoiler can look better than other
