how to remove rear bumper

Dead easy.
There are two clips forward of the rear bumper, on it's front edge in the wheelarches. They need picking out and removing.
On some cars, there are two more, midway along the lower edges.
There are two more, or in some cases, one under the rear.
Then, slide under the car and remove 6 18mm iirc bolts, 3 per side, along what looks like a chassis leg. One of them on the n/s supports the exhaust hanger, so be ready for it to sag.
Now prepare something for the bumper to rest on and pull it backwards, it slides out of those chassis legs. About half out, you need to support it and disconnect the numberplate wiring. Slide it right out and place on mat, etc.
The plastic skin can be removed from the metal support by undoing more clips along the top and bottom edges once the bumper is off.
BTW: the
is because I've been nagging admin to put some sort of banner on asking folk with questions to state car, model model year etc etc, but they are dragging their heels
