Default Show me your hoses

Im looking to get some Samco or equivilent hoses to add some colour under my bonnet. Are there any issues or problems I need to be aware of for changing certain hoses? Anything pressurised?

Not sure on colour, so if you can post some pics of colours you have on your Scoobs, it would be appreciated

Thanks

Very tidy mate. Is that blanking plate under the strut covered by a carbon wrap?

Thanks mate

The solenoid cover is genuine carbon, got it from BIG FUD on here as it didn't fit his hawkeye. Not sure who made it though.

As for things to look out for when changing the hoses, the main one is that in the pipe at the top on the right of the intercooler there is a one way valve in it. This needs to be cut out of the oem part and put into the samco. You must make sure it is put in the right way otherwise your car wont run properly. It is easiest to soak the samco in hot water to loosen it up before outing the valve in.

The other hoses are easy to install just some are a bit fiddly.

I like the carbon cover very much, looks vert smart.
Dont think ive ever seen purple hoses before. Quite unique. Looks nice with the purple oil cap.
I was thinking Yellow or Blue for mine.

Thanks for the info on fitting the hoses.
Hopefully I can see a few more examples before making a decision on colour

Thanks mate, im hoping to get a carbon alternator and fuse box covers.

Yellow would look superb as would blue.

You should do a search in the members gallery as there was an engine bay thread last year that had some really nice ones in it.
