ive seen a couple of these, they are the red sti crinkle type finish cam covers, think they were on jdm spec c sti 8? not 100% though? any one know how to get that finish as i want to get mine sprayed that way??
They are on the 22B as far as I know mate but getting the finish is quite simple just prepare them for normal painting IE plastic primer/2 pack primer and then use the crinkle paint used for manifolds IE VHT crinkle paint

The red crinkle only comes in one shade of red mate BUT if you want to tint it just get some rattle can red of your choice and put a light coat over the top of the crinkle paint
Do you not get a better "crinkle" finish if you use a heat gun?
Ideally you need a nice even heat else it go's a bit good here and not there lol,I'd just let it do it by it's self unless you have access to a spray booth.
any one fancy spraying the two ends of the cam covers, i have genuine 22b ones, but there for v4 and wont fit my v6 only the center one, so i need to try and get my 2 side covers matched ?
any ideas?
That block looks great Ryan
Why do you have the OEM oil pressure sensor on if you plan on running an aftermarket gauge, Its one of the most useless warnings on a scooby IMO, It just tell you when its fooked, lol.
You dont have to use a heat gun, Just make sure its somewhere warm(ish) as it might not turn out right and will take an age to dry if its too cold.
