Default Carbon Fibre Boot Lid

Hi all

Ive bought a carbon fibre spoiler to match the carbon fibre boot. Ive got a template of the underneath all marked out with all the fixings for the spoiler to attach the boot lid. How does one go about drilling holes threw the bootlid without damaging the boot???

Thanks in advance

i cant say i have ever drilled carbon fibre but id drill a small hole first then work your way up.

i would think it may splinter otherwise.

This

Start small and work up if you aren't too sure and remember to take your time

Is it FRP/Carbon or pure dry carbon?

If you cant see a weave on the underside of it then it'll be fibreglass with carbon on top, to be honest I'd bet its gonna be that a dry carbon bonnet would cost you around 1k easy. Makes it easier for drilling if its a fibreglass mix, once you are through the few layers of carbon the drill will glide through
