Why not? I have four bike carriers on mine, three cheapys and a Thule wheel-out one.
Mine are like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-imp...item3f2446dfaa

My bike carriers are the kind that go inside the the bars, like they slide along inside and clip in that way. Also the too of my car doesnt have any slots for these to clip into :-/

Oh i see. But i still dont think that my thule carriers will fit onto those bars, on the toof bars for my astra vxr they had flaps on te end which flapped down then you had to slide the bike carriers along the inside of the bars then they wound down to be secured

They don't.
Subaru fitments usually have four "L" shaped brackets that pass UNDER the plastic and, at the same time, UNDER a steel flattened loop that is welded to the roof and supports.
The bars then fit to those.
First time on is a pain, finding the loops, and the fitting is tight. I marked my loops by putting sticky-backed plastic dots into the door opening in line with them.
Once the bars are in place, they are ROCK solid.
Mine has been up to 120mph on a private airfield with FOUR bikes on top.

Foot pack No 950
Fitting kit No 206.
standard bars and locks on shelf.
they hook on plastic trim just above windows and supported by rubber feet. Got em from Halfords, not an easy job for them as had to wait 2months! The packs stated on there system was incorrect and had to have an earlier version, but fits great so not complaining.
