OK.
So I’ve come to the point where i can’t afford to run this pride and possession no further. Taking a step back in work and reducing hours, after working everyone I could to keep this car on the road. I’ve reached my limit, I have to take a step back and go ecco. As follows will be a list of the work which has been carried out on the car since I’ve owned it. I purchased it 10/2014
Window Tint 5%back 25%front plus Visor strip
Full Service 20/11/14 (K&N panel filter, Iridium spark plugs, MTec drilled and grooved disks with pads and shoes)
I done 3000m since purchase and head gasket blew, so off it went to Adgespeed in Irlam Manchester and £1500 lighter the problem was fixed. I have to commend Adrian at Adgespeed for his deep knowledge and peace of mind that the car was in good hands. Also just noticed looking at receipts I’ve misplaced a important receipt proving belt was replaced at the end of 2013, last time I remember seeing it was proving to Adrian it was replaced recently. But if you’re **** then you will change it yourself anyway.
Parts fitted were.
RCMS Head gaskets
RCMS Head studs
New rocker cover gaskets, seals, bolt seals
Motul 15/40 300V comp oil
OEM oil filter
New rad 2yr warranty
Thermostat gasket
Inlet manifold gaskets
Exhaust gaskets
2 turbo studs
Good points.
Fun car to drive, nice power not heavily modded, great street cred, excellent ride for a true car enthusiast.
Bad points.
Rust bubbling under rear spoiler just where the spoiler meets the boot lid, front tyres will need replacing for the winter just coming up to the marker indicator the rear have plenty of beef, body work is in average condition for a 12yr old motor few imperfections from door dings at car parks (don’t get me going) font bumper could do with freshening up n/s rear corner has slight scratch which was there when I bought it. Looks the biz when some love is applied.
I’ve changed the rear shocks and there is a slight knock from the rear when setting off. From searching this forum I’ve come to the conclusion that the top shock mounts need to be changed also (another expense I can’t afford).
I added a bit of sound deadening to the doors as I had plans for boosting the sound system. It has been de-catted with a prodrive rear box no idea what the make is as no receipt for work. I’ve tried to be as open and honest the best I can so please make sensible offers and comments. I’ll add more pix on request PM for mobile number
