Hi
I’m selling my unmodified, UK Turbo 2000. It’s a much loved car that’s been looked after as best as my budget will allow. It’s always warmed up and cooled down correctly and always run on 98 or 99RON fuel. It’s on a W plate, so a MY00. Accordingly it has the facelifted exterior and interior. It’s fitted with the Prodrive Performance Pack. Unfortunately, the certificate is missing, but all the parts are there. These include a larger intercooler and piping, the removal of two catalytic converters, a nice chunky backbox and a re-mapped ECU. Before you read my incredibly long ad, I’ll say that this is not a show car, if you are looking for perfection then this will sadly not be for you.
The car has been dyno’ed and produced an average of 245BHP at the flywheel. The turbo spools up much faster with the PPP and it’s much fun. I’m not a fan of modifying cars, therefore have aimed to keep it as standard as possible. I’ve added a Competition Clutch lightened Flywheel and Exedy Clutch. I’ve also added a K&N panel filter to do away with changing the filter every few months. That’s your lot for engine modifications!
I bought the car in late 2012 as a daily drive with 76,000 miles on the clock. Since then it’s been perfect, We’ve been all over the UK together and it’s never broken down, overheated or left me stranded anywhere. It’s not required any major work over the years, just consumables and age related replacement parts. It’s currently on 98,365 miles. This is unlikely to change as I use other cars. If you look over the cars history, you will see it’s had a fairly easy life, covering well below the average mileage each year. It uses no oil, there’s no smoke, there’s no weird rattles or sounds and on a long run can see well over 320 miles from a tank.
Whilst in my possession, I’ve only ever used the best parts and consumables available. I use Millers CFS 10w40 oil with K&N Oil filters. I’ve fitted Mintex 1155 Brake Pads all round with Brembo HC discs. There’s HEL braided front brake lines. The fluid is RBF600 from Motul, it has a much higher boiling point. As a standard brake set up goes, this is as good as it can get really.
I’ve added clear front and side repeaters to give it a more modern look.
I have a stack of paperwork and plenty of service history, Below is a list of everything I have done and have a record for. This does not necessarily indicate the complete history of the car. There’s no doubt a few missing receipts and other bits over the years. That said, the history is fairly complete and work has been done at the appropriate time and/or mileage from what I can see.

If there are any questions on the above, please let me know. I’ve tried to be as accurate and honest as possible.
For the potential new owners, you’ve not much to do. An Oil Change and Filter, Spark Plugs, Cam Belt and a Coolant Change were done this year. I’ve changed the oil and filter again recently (September.) The brakes are new/reconditioned items. I did away with the old set. Along with new discs and pads, again done this year. As you will see in the pics, the calipers are red, and very shiny They’ll last for years. There’s an additional set of replacement front pads to fit, however I imagine there’s a fair few miles left in the current set yet. I’ve replaced the 17’’ wheels that were put on by the previous owner with more standard looking STI Gold 16’’ wheels with Toyo Proxes tyres. The wheels themselves are straight with no cracks or buckles. There's the usual kerb rash.
Security wise the car has a tracker fitted, although I’ve never activated it nor subscribed, but the appropriate paperwork is present. It’s also fitted with a Scorpion cat 1 alarm and immobiliser, again all paperwork is present. There’s two fobs and keys.
After all that, you’re probably thinking; what’s the down side? Well of course there is one. Unfortunately the one area I never got round to sorting was the bodywork. The paint is ok for the age, it shines up very nicely indeed. However the rust is beginning to set in to the point where it’s not feasible for me to rectify. You’ll see in the pics that the rear arches are gone. Of course, it’s fairly typical of these cars. I’ve been in there and cleaned it all out as best I can and have dry stored it for the last two years to slow the process. I also try to drive it only on dry days! To pass its most recent MOT it required a small amount of welding on the sills. Again, this is fairly typical. There should be no issues with those come the next MOT.
There are the usual age related marks, stonechips etc. and a few hairline scratches where I presume a bush has made contact with the paint. It’s not perfect, but hey, it’s getting on a bit. The front grill is missing a mounting clip inside. It’s always been like that since I’ve owned it. It’s secure via the magic of a cable tie. You can’t see it from the outside. It never bothered me. It works and looks just fine. There’s a scuff on one corner of the rear bumper, it was there when I acquired the car and finally the front bumper has scuffs underneath from various speed bumps.
The interior is the standard Turbo 2000 affair. It’s generally in good order, perhaps a decent clean. The bits worth pointing out are a small rip in the drivers’ seat. There’s also a small hole in the carpet. It’s in the place where your heel would sit whilst driving. It’s general wear and tear but I’d suggest some mats as clearly without them this will get worse.
Mechanically there is nothing wrong with the car. I really believe it will keep going and going. Rust permitting…The suspension feels solid. The gearbox is tight. The engine is smooth. It drives really well. If I hadn’t got another car, I’d still be running this. All it needs is for someone to take care of the bodywork, give it a good mop and you’ll have a perfectly decent car.
I welcome any questions. You are welcome to test drive the car subject to proof of fully comprehensive insurance cover. If not, I’ll happily take you out for a spin.
It’s priced at £2100.

One of my arches, before.
After
Cost me £700 altogether, but I also got splitter, side skirts, bootlid painted and a flat boot floor put in.
The work and paint was £500, but I supplied these:

Slightly OT, but, potentially help with the sale.
