V3 Type R for sale - Now sold
Subaru Impreza Type R 1997 V3 Sprint/Race or Road car.
5 speed DCCD 2 door. Rear Spoiler is Subaru with adjustable vane.
I have owed this car since January 2013. I have used it for sprinting and the odd track day. It is lightly modified as I competed in the standard class for sprinting.
Modifications I have done in the past two years.
VF34 Turbo (Low Mileage)
ESL Daughter Board fitted to Standard ECU Mapped to 360bhp
HDI GT2 Front Mount Intercooler
Harvey style ported headers (Wrapped)
Harvey style Up pipe (Wrapped)
3” Stainless Downpipe (Wrapped)
Miltek 3” Decatted Stainless Exhaust (96db so track friendly)
Exedy uprated clutch
Forged Lightened Flywheel
Group N Baffled Sump
RCM Catch Can with return to Sump
Kumho Ecsta V70 225/45 -16 Tyres (K60 compound)
Whiteline Front Anti Roll Bar 24mm
Whiteline Rear Anti Roll Bar 22mm
Whiteline Stout Mounts
Whiteline Drop Links Front and Rear
Whiteline Anti Lift Kit
Whiteline uprated bushes for Steering Rack, Gear Box, Trailing Arms, Lateral Arms and Diff.
Sparco Seats
Luke Harnesses
Alloy Seat Mounts Fitted to Standard Runners so adjustable for different drivers.
Harness Bar
OMP Suede Steering Wheel
Chevron Fuel Pick Up
Bosch 044 Pump
Lightweight Battery
K&N Cone Filter
Chevron Motorsport Geo set up.
I have receipts for almost all of the above.
The Speedo shows 88K miles. I change the oil and filter after every two sprints.
The car was imported in 2004 and has had 4 previous owners.
The car is very clean underneath. See pics.
You can use this car for MLR Sprints in S1 class or track days or on the road as it is.
The car was mapped to 340 with a print out. Bob Rawle then tweaked it a few months later on the road and it felt a lot quicker/crisper so I recon its running around 360.
It’s been very reliable in my two years of ownership and I have won may trophies in it. See pic.
I now have a Spec C, so wish to sell my Type R. These are becoming collectable and prices are rising so grab a bargain.
The bad bits.
One of the Tyres has a mild flat spot. I moved this to the rear, and it’s hardly noticeable.
The rear arches are rolled, but it was done hastily at the track, so they will need tidying. See pic.
There is slight damage down the near side door/rear wing, but it was like that when I bought it, and it’s never bothered me.
You will need to get the Car MOTed.
The car runs strong and all the gears work fine with no crunching or noise, there is no noise from the rear diff.
A sorted car for occasional track use or a fast road weapon.
£5K
North London Based.
Please note the pics show the car with 16 and 17" wheels. The 16" ones are the ones being sold on the car.
Also, I have removed the side skirts and not sure where they are.
Here are some vids of the car in action.
