Subaru Impreza WRX 1995
It is with deep regret I have to finally sell my car. I have been putting it off for a year or so but the time has come to let her go.
I have owned the car for over 3 years now and spent a small fortune on it. Reason for selling is that I work abroad for the majority of the year and unfortunately barely have time to drive her.
The car was owned by Quentin Moss - known as Q Dog here on the forum and we did write to each other just after I bought it. There is a 20 odd page thread on the work he carried out on the car, which include the following:
Autobahn88 FMIC
Intercooler water spray
Blitz Nur Spec R 3" exhaust system
HKS 3" de-cat downpipe
Custom 3" cold air feed
Apexi Power Intake Induction System
Oil catch tank
Savage Breather filter
Rage Earth ground kit
Cusco under H brace
Cusco drop links
Samco Hoses
Subaru 4-pot callipers
Zero Sports radiator cooling plate
Front and rear top mount Cusco strut braces
6 swoosh in dash/pillar gauges
Flock Dash
4 Point Driver and passenger seats
OMP Suede steering wheel
Short shift box
Unfortunately shortly after buying the car, I was told it had the dreaded `knocking` sounds by a few specialists. After reading this forum, it seems David at API was the main to go and see so I did. So in mid 2013 after the car had been with them for 4 months, I had a full engine rebuild carried out with no expense spared to include the following:
New crankshaft
Uprated steel forged rods
New crank bearings
New uprated oversize forged pistons and rings
Rebore of the block
Uprated, modified Oil pump
STI gasket and seals
cambelt
New turbo
Mapped by Bob Rawle. David estimates approx. 350 BHP
Other work as well totalling around £6000.
The car has done no more than 2000 miles since this work and wants for nothing. I`ve had the oil and filters changed once a year and the MOT was in July 2015. All MOT`s are present from the last 5 years. Mileage is 82k miles. I had a TOAD Cat 1 Alarm/immobiliser fitted with all paperwork/certificates, etc.
You can see there are lots of goodies on the bodywork including carbon fibre rear spoiler and bonnet. Car looks absolutely stunning after a good polish. It drives and sounds perfectly and turns head everywhere I drive it in London. Car has brand new Parada spec 2 tyres all round and refurbed alloys. Looking for £9000 and more importantly a good new home to someone who will truly cherish and look after her. I am based in Beckenham, Kent. Thank you for taking the time to read my Ad!
