I don't think he sees the funny side!

OP, really clean looking wagon, great build and spec. Well worth the money, and one of the best sleepers I've ever seen! I don't have kids (as far as I know!), so have no need for a wagon, but if I did, I'd buy this for sure!

Thanks guys - It's a lovely car and will be sad if/when it goes. It's nice as a sleeper - people don't really question it being a wagon.

Liskeard is well... Liskeard!

But I live near Liskeard, actually over by Henwood on the edge of the moor which is 8 miles away - but out here in the deep dark moors it's still a 'Post Town' of Liskeard.

I test drove a couple of GTR's before modding the wagon - lovely cars - but was downsizing number of cars and a GTR would have been an expensive addition and not family and dog friendly unfortunately. Hope you are enjoying it though.

Standard hawkeye 5 speed - apart from the factory fit quick shift linkage. Gearbox is absolutely fine. Always a debate on 5 speeds but there are quite a few hawkeye WRX's running decent power on 5 speeds.

I don't do traffic light GP's or Launch the car - if it was purely a track car or for the drag strip then a good uprated 5 speed gear set would be my choice.

If it ain't broke - Don't fix it :-)

With a proper gearbox it may off.

Cheers FTP - Can't beat enginetuner for a build (or service, help, advice and so on actually).

As my previous post, 5 speed gearbox is always open to debate and Hawkeye 5 speeds do appear to be stronger - there was a thread years ago with photo's of Hawkeye 5 speed gears next to an earlier 5 speed clearly indicating differances (Hawkeye being wider/larger surface area). At 60 000 miles, 18 000 as PPP, 17 000 at 360 BHP and 320lbft and 25 000 miles at 462 BHP and 491 lbft and it's as smooth as the day I bought the car from the showroom. Never tracked and no traffic light GP launches but always well used and driven.

Insurance seams to be the trick to be honest.

Hey I see its been a while since the post was written but do you still have the motor for sale? I love what you have done. Also a couple of questions...are the wheels repainted in satin black instead of the standard gloss? did you need spacers to fit either the ap or brembo callipers?

Seriously lovely sleeper, nice job!

Many thanks but car was sold quite a while ago. No spacers needed for the brakes, they fit with room to spare (0.8mm or so!).

Cheers
