Default 2008 hatch STI forged build

2008 hatch
64k
Mot January 2018

I'll get the bad bits out of the way first.

The engine is seeping oil from the cam cover, but its nothing to worry about. I've done 600 miles since the last oil change (pro-r 15-50) and it's barely moved which is good considering its forged and has the leak.

Windscreen washer bottle leaks above a certain point, I haven't inspected this yet but will try to.

Usual scratches and marks from a car of this age, nothing too drastic, just a little untidy if you're a perfectionist and wanting nothing but the best.

Now the good bits

Engine spec

Mahle pistons
Manley rods
Acl bearings
Cosworth gaskets
Uprated oil pump
Vf48
Andy Forrest map 361/400
Turbo back exhaust
Fmic
Hks bov

Intelligent mode - 250bhp ish
Sport mode - full power 361bhp
Sport# mode - full power + pops & bangs,auto blip & launch control

Suspension - BC br coilovers fast road set up. I'm not entirely sure about arb's but I know whiteline bushes have been used or at least I was told by my garage that some whiteline parts were fitted when he inspected the car. The handling is awesome.

Brakes - standard brembos with drilled & grooved discs all round, currently fitted with mintex pads but RC5+ ready to go.

Interior - the condition is good, slight wear to the drivers seat bolster and the plastic trim underneath the passenger seat has came away slightly, the rubber door seal on the drivers side has tape on I think for some reason.

Fitted with a kenwood double din stereo that has BT,aux,USB & iPod connectivity albeit the older connector, but an adaptor can be used for newer iPhone,iPod connection.

Clifford concept 640 mk2 alarm system with intellistart. Remote start, shortstop, proximity alert, turbo timer etc.

Xxr 527 18"

Brief history

I purchased this car thinking it was minted, purchased from a army mechanic so put too much faith I never the seller.

After realising a few issues I put the car in to my garage and had them inspect it and sort a few problems out.

So 600 miles ago it had the

Coilovers fitted
New track rod and track rod ends
Oil drained and fresh oil put in pro-r 15-50

The reason for sale is I want something that has the power and spec I want without me having to spend money to achieve that, if it wasn't for that reason I'd happily keep the car. It's a beautiful looking car.....turns heads everywhere but in a good way, for the way it looks. It's not overly loud and goes rather well, handles superbly. A proper tool for the road.

I'm in no rush to sell so no silly offers, genuinely interest only

£13,000 PLATE NOT INCLUDED

pm for any more pics,or contact details etc.

Thanks

I'm struggling to upload recent pics so here's a few when the car was dirty after collecting from the garage. I'll upload others when I can.

Not even, it's better now than when he had it. I hate to sound like a **** but there's probably a bunch of army vehicles ****ed over in some far flung place.

I've tidied it up, well it will be when the arch liners are fitted.

Both front shocks were past it and the top mount was knocking, there was an advisory for the track rod end but that was fine. But the BC coilovers are now fitted and set up well.

I've got this up on EBay, PH and here and tbh I've not had much interest. A little surprised tbh.

I keep looking at this car. I could make this very nice indeed. I'm only just starting to appreciate the hatch shape and get into them. This one I like very much.

Surprised it's not sold already TBH. If I didn't love my FSTI so much I'd already have this on my driveway.

If I hadn't purchased the Evo then I'd have made it perfect, but it's tidier now than when I bought it.

Treat yourself dude

The plate has now been removed and swapped over to the Wagon so it's now on its original reg.

I'm still in no rush to sell but I'll happily listen to offers or anyone who is genuinely interested.

May consider part x for something that's cheaper and cash my way. I fancy a car for track days.

It's had a full rebuild cost just under £7k Oakley garage rebuilt it but won't answer the phone to confirm whether or not it's got forged pistons. So I can't put it's forged unless I'm 100% sure.

Yeah there's no rush, I'd rather have someone else use and enjoy it though. Plus, I don't want to miss out on a good track car because there's too many cars at the house, she'd kill me.

TBH she'll be pissed if I sell this and buy antrack car anyway but bugger it.

£12,500 on here.

Still no rush to sell but I'd rather have someone use it and enjoy it. Still getting used so miles will go up but not very much.

Arch liners now fitted, had a bit of interest from someone on Sunday there when I had it up at Knockhill. He's supposed to be looking at it again this Sunday when I'm back up for the sls round 2.

I've done over 1500 miles since the last oil change and and it had only dropped to 2/3 level. Perfectly acceptable imo.

Why not get the oil leaks sorted then the new owner has nothing to worry about.

I for one would be put off of buying because of that small thing.

If it's nothing major which I'm sure it's not then get it done.

I had considered that but nope I'm going to leave it as is. I'm not throwing any more money at the car after spending the money I have sorting the issues that needed doing.

I'm already losing out on so many ££££'s selling at 12.5k and I've only had the car since Feb. It's in far better condition now than it was then.

I did a deal on the black bug that I've got up for sale. I thought it might be easier to sell on as it's a cheaper vehicle but I'll still use it in the mean time.

Did it not sell then? Or did you just forget to cancel your advert?

I saw that on eBay this week. Have they fixed all the issues then?

Seems very cheap. Can't believe they are selling it so soon!

As far as I'm aware, he put it up before starting bid 11.5k and it had a bid......NO SHOW!

So he's stuck it back up as he's after a motor to tow the caravan.
