Modified Impreza Sti Type R Version 5
Hi Guys,
I haven't posted much as I am more of a reader than a poster, but time has come to sell my much loved car and I thought I would put it up on here first.

Subaru Impreza Sti Type R Version 5
1998 Model year
2 former keepers
MOT until the 3rd January 2013
Tax until the end of June 2013
Complete service history from Japan before the car was imported
Was Imported to the UK in December 2008 with 88,486KM’s (54,982 miles) on the clock
1st owner in the UK was the dealer
2nd UK owner acquired the car on the 9th January 2009
I acquired the car on the 17th July 2010
1st MOT – December 22nd 2008 – 88,486km’s (54,982 miles)
2nd MOT – December 17th 2009 – 93,784km’s (58,274 miles)
3rd MOT – December 17th 2010 – 104,002km’s (64,623 miles)
4th MOT – January 3rd 2012 – 107,390km’s (66,729 miles)
This car has been used as a third car / weekend toy. I always fancied a 2 door Scooby, so 18 months ago I bought this car. It has wanted for nothing since. It has also had a fortune spent on it in upgrades. I really did go a bit crazy with this car to get it exactly how I wanted it.
All of the work mentioned below has been done in the last 15 months.
Engine
SimTek ECU with Anti Lag, mapped by Dave Rowe to 320BHP (with dyno sheet)
Brand new VF34 turbo
Engine rebuilt in March 2011 (due to oil leak from rocker covers) using the following components over standard:
Cosworth head gaskets
Cosworth head stud and nut kit
Baffled sump
Roger Clark high pressure and high flow oil pump
Roger Clark cam belt kit
Roger Clark cam cover gaskets
Roger Clark Coolant hoses
New Oxygen sensor
Subaru auxiliary and air con belts
All other gaskets and seals were standard Subaru
New Sti engine mounts
Roger Clark radiator
Mocal oil cooler
Mocal power steering fluid cooler
Front mounted intercooler with hard pipe kit
Roger Clark Induction kit
Roger Clark uprated fuel pump kit
New race battery
Decat API downpipe
HKS Super high power silent exhaust (great sound but still passes Bedford noise limits)
Transmission
Rebuilt gearbox and front diff with DCCD variable centre diff control
Rebuilt rear diff
I also have a spare gearbox and rear diff
Group N gearbox and diff mounts
Helix lightweight flywheel
Helix sintered clutch plate and uprated cover
Helix release bearing
Brakes
Front – AP 6 pot callipers with AP 330mm disks and ally bells
Rear – AP 4 pot callipers with AP 330mm disks
Stainless braided brake hoses
Suspension
New group N front and rear top mounts
Bilstien Sti Prodrive uprated dampers with Eibach springs
Every bush in the whole car replaced with poly bushes
New front and rear hubs and wheel bearings
Whiteline uprated adjustable ARB’s front and rear
Whiteline roll centre adjustment kit
Whiteline alloy drop links
Wheels and Tyres
1 set of 17” Speedline Magnesium 5 spoke wheels in black with Toyo R888 tyres
1 set of 17” Prodrive OZ multispoke wheels in Anthracite with Bridgestone RE050 tyres
Interior
Alpine CD / Radio / IPod head unit with Parrot Blue tooth hands free
Sparco Suede removable steering wheel
Centre gauge pod with Oil pressure, oil temp and boost gauges
The front seats are in excellent condition with no signs of wear
The rear seats don’t look like they have ever been sat in
AC / climate control blows ice cold
Body and exterior
The body is in excellent condition with no rust, the paint does have a few faded patches, like all imports seem too. To be honest the paint is the only minor (and it really is minor!) thing that lets the car down. I had the underneath completely rust proofed when the gearbox was out being rebuilt.
Every suspension component has been shot blasted and powder coated
New crystal front lights with HID’s
New crystal side lights
New crystal clear indicators
Electric windows
Electric mirrors with power fold
PRICE: £7,750 (Price reduction as spare wheels and spare gearbox / diff are no longer included)
Price: I reckon the car owes me about £16k. I had a quick tot up and I reckon it would break quite easily for £10k, so an asking price of £8,950 is an absolute bargain in my opinion.

Lovely car mate, it's a strong price but it's better than most Type R's for sale at the moment let alone the rest of the Subaru's.
Quick question, has it actually had an engine rebuild or has it just had a few parts on the heads changed?
Good luck!

Cheers for most of the comments guys. haha.
PM replied to.
The engine was stripped and checked when it was out to have the top ends rebuilt. The heads were skimmed and pressure checked and rebuilt. The bottom end was mint as I have paperwork from a bottom end rebuild that the previous owner had done.
The gauges are 45mm jobbies.
I want to try and sell all the spares I have with the car in one go, the 5 spokes do look awesome though. They are 500 quid each to buy new!!!
As far as the price goes, if someone is looking to build a nice spec road / track scooby then they will know they will be paying a lot more than 9k to do it. As I have mentioned in the ad, I reckon I could break it for more, but I just dont want the hassle.

The pod is a Forester part. It fits in place of the top cubby hole. I made the backing plate out of a piece of carbon. The gauge are Prosport ones. Have a google about for them. The prosport website is here: http://prosportgauges.com/45mm-gauges.aspx
