Are they exactly the same as each other, in terms of clarity. I mean, do the lenses have the same amount of wear-based (weather/UV-affected) cloudiness (if any), as each other?

Even though they're electric adjustment, can they be manually adjusted too?! (My STi 5 doesn't have electric adjustment provision, as far as I'm aware?).
Out of interest, which models did get electric adjustment - I'm guessing MY99/00 UK cars, no?

I think it's more a wagon thing. The adjustment is to compensate for having a big load in the boot.
When you say automatic, does that mean they are automatically self-levelling (to compensate for carrying heavy loads)... Or just that you can conveniently set them up via a control on the dash?
Cheers. I don't seem to have said switch(?). Can you tell me where it's supposed to be?
In any case, can they still be adjusted manually, regardless?
Depending on spec and model-year, it will either be in the center console just behind the handbrake lever, or in the front-center console just below the radio somewhere. It might be worth checking your car to see if it has the wiring loom for the motor-adjusters and the switch (which it might well do), and you can then just get a switch from a breaker or Ebay. Looking at the spare set of motor-fitted headlamps in my garage, I think it's unlikely you could adjust manually.
Just had a complete Doh moment there. The motor-adjuster is just for raising the beam up and down, not for setting the actual alignment, so motor-fitted lamps should work fine on any car.
