Have the gearbox out of my STI V6 saloon for sale. Code TY754VBAAA
There is a crunch into 5th gear at high revs. It was perfectly useable you just had to change gear a bit slower otherwise it would crunch. I bought a TY752VBAAA to swap the 5th gear synchro, but in the mean time a mate got hold of a late JDM wrx Impreza with a knackered engine which had a TY754VBAAA fitted. So I just bought that off him and fitted that instead.
So I have my STI V6 TY754VBAAA with high rpm 5th gear synchro prob for sale.
If collected I would give the buyer a free TY752VBAAA (I have removed the end of this box to expose the 5th gear setup)
I know I could just swap the synchro from one and sell the box as fully working but I will have no way of testing it. So I'm thinking this might be the best way to sell it to save any future hassle?
I know these are pretty rare boxes but the buyer will need to either install the synchro from the free box I'll be supplying or source another.
