Default 1998 MY99 Impreza Wagon T2000 £1000!

1998/S but is full MY99 spec (as per original invoice)
Mica blue
118k
3 owners
MOT & Tax until April 2011
Lots of history and receipts

Unfortunatly its running on 3 cylinders. A test shows no compression on the cylinder nearest battery and the spark plug is very oily. Also there is oil in the intercooler and it does produce a fair bit of oil smoke when running. I assume it will need piston rings at least or a new piston at most but I have only diagnosed this myself. It does still drive (i'm not) albeit loss of power, excessive petrol consumption and lots of smoke off throttle. The problem came within the last week and showed no signs prior.

In my ownership I have done the following;
3 minor services (oil + filter, fuel filter, air filter)
Replacement MAF sensor
New alloy radiator
Samco coolent hoses & intercooler Y pipe
New front grooved brake discs and kevlar pads
New rear discs and pads
New front wheel bearings
New Exedy clutch
6kg flywheel
Full decat exhaust
40mm lowering springs

There is lots of receipts and service, the last being October 2008 which shows a cambelt at 89k.

Its in overall good condition inside and out for its year. It gets cleaned every week and polished every month or so. There are a few small blemishs; scratch on the front bumper below driverside fog, a few scratches around loading area on rear bumper and a few bubbles coming through on the o/s rear arch. Oh and a little burn on the rear seat.

Its been an awesome car in my 2 years ownership and has taken me all over Europe. I've looked after it to the book but I now do not have the time and/or finances to repair it as I have other projects on the go and this is my daily driver. I have been offered a good replacement engine for £400 from a a local Subaru breaker.

If there is enough interest I may break.

I'm looking for around £1000 or offers

I'm in Redhill, Surrey. About 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport, Junction 8 M25

Plates will be reverted back to S535 AFS.

PM or e-mail ishan@ntlworld.com with any questions, offers or advise and I'll get back to you asap.

I'm interested in the suspension, fancy swapping for a set of standards. I'll do the work. ;-)
