Couple of things that may help is who built the engine? And in your opinion what will the engine take at that spec?

Never seen a 2.0 converted to a 2.2, nice idea that surely it will have close characteristics to a 2.35 but much cheaper to build.

Best of luck with the sale, if it was nearer to may next year I would of been very interested just the car is under warranty.

Good luck mate, seems a steal at that price

T20C block will be 92mm as standard and with a 0.5mm overbore will be 92.5mm coupled with the 79mm EJ257 crank will equate to around 2.1 not 2.2

i thought this myself

the box for the pistons and also cosworth part numbers apparantley says its 2.2 used with ej25 ( 79mm ) crank and ej20 bore and the rods that are in it

20003687
Subaru WRX EJ20 (2.2L) 92.5mm 8.0:1cr (For use with 79mm crankshaft)

It works out to about 2128cc so quoted as a 2.2 and its sounds better

it does sound better but in all respect they do list a 2.1 piston also

ive noticed the dome design is different on the 2.1 vs 2.2

the 2.1 stroker kits mostly use the square design dish

the 2.2 uses a valve cut out on the square part

for example

2.1 pistons

and 2.2 piston

They are classic block pistons with the flat dish no valve cut and newage block pistons with valve cut

i believe newage with valve cutout has circular domes

theres a few distributors that sell both 2.1 and 2.2 kits both for ej20 so really couldnt tell u and can only go by part numbers

sureley companys cannot advertise as 2.2 and sell 2.1 kits at the same time

Some more info on the block please, why does a spec c block command a higher price, somebody quoted £1000!? And who did the machining/build?

The later spec c blocks have a heavier liner from what I've seen
