Default AP's 6 pot's

Hi all

A friend of mine would like to sell his 6 Pot 355mm AP’s setup. They were used on his rally car for 2 years but he only did local rallies which were once a year and consisted of 1 ½ days of tarmac rallying.

They haven’t been used for nearly a year but look in good condition.

They were on his Classic (not sure what year but at a guess, 97 to 99). I was going to fit these to my Hawkeye STI and I contacted AP to ask if they would fit and this is what they said:

“Kit # CP7040-1001
It should cross over if the kit came off an Impreza and the disc mounting bells use the dual wheel of10 off holes: - 5xØ100 & 5xØ114.3mm (2006 on). Part # CP24954-1585 (issue 3 on) this is marked on the bell face.
Also the bracket # is CP2494-1584 (issue 4 on) this is marked on the bracket.

The kit required these to updates because Subaru change wheel PCD in 2005 then added a casting protrusion onto the knuckle, between the two caliper mount lugs in 2006. With all the updates in place the CP7040 kit will suit Classic, New age & N14 models, if the correct wheels are used, see web link to check this……………..

Regards the 3mm thk bracket spacers, if the bracket is issue 4 or less then these will be required, the latest issue 5 does not use them the spacer is machined into the bracket.
If you log onto http://www.apracing.com/product_deta...32mm_disc.aspx
This will provide the data on this kit.”

The numbers on the parts are as follows:

Calipers:
Part Number – CP7040-3S0 and CP7040-2S0
Serial Number - S/N 7128492#023CO3 and S/N 7128491#015CO3

Disc’s:
Part Number - CP2494-1585 HA29 LE and CP2494-???? HA29 LE

Pads:
Model - DS2500
Part Number - CP7040D61H

Brackets:
Part Number P2494-1584 HA22 LE

Here are some photos:

As you can tell, they are in good condition and as with all brakes, it’s more important how they stop then how they look! The pads have between 10mm and 11mm of material left and the disc’s don’t have any lip on them.

He is looking for £1,000 for these. I live in Jersey so can post them BUT it will cost a bit (probably around £40) and you will have to pay VAT upon entering the UK. The alternative is that I am travelling to the UK on the 20th May with the car so can package them up and post them out when I get there. I will be staying in Bath for a few days and then Tunbridge Wells so if you are anywhere near they and want to collect, let me know.

Thanks

Edward
