‘Oliver Twist’ style greed for power (well torque, actually) has got the better of me. So after an upgrade I’m selling my virtually new SC36 Billet turbo.
Bought just 2.5 months ago and run only 3,000 miles this turbo is barely run in.

The 'torque-meister' of small turbos.
Very quick spool and capable of full boost at low revs (2500 to 2800) this is a very flexible little turbo.
With supporting mods this gave me just under 300bhp. But most of all at 3000rpm this turbo ran c310lbs ft of torque.
From standstill this turbo transforms the step-off characteristics over the standard TD04, improves on-demand acceleration when cruising and virtually eliminates all turbo lag at low revs.
This one’s run 27k miles, hence excellent value just at £275.

I don't have pictures but it looks just like the one on the Scoobyclinic link in the original post but obviously as it's been fitted it shows some signs of use.

The SC36 was fitted new by Alan Jeffery (EngineTuner) on 4th Sep 2013. He did an oil & filter change at the same time.
My clutch started slippping on the rollers so apart from loading a base map, Martyn couldn't map it fully on the day.
I went back last Wed 27th Nov 2013 to have a new clutch and flywheel fitted.
In the interim, I'd really enjoyed the SC36, especially the top end power it carried (it well and truely finished off the clutch!). It was instantly addictive and I wanted more. So I asked Alan, while he was at it, if I could have some more. It would have been rude not to ask, really. So I had another upgrade.
Now I've got the SC36 sat in its box in the garage. There's nothing whatsoever wrong with it.
There were a couple of fitting issues but these were down to my aftermarket up-pipe and my 'Prodrive'(?) down-pipe.
If you want it, PM me your paypal name and I'll raise an invoice.

I believe at 12.51 I confirmed I would take this but as some of us have to work and not stay on forums all afternoon I have been told that I haven't got this and someone else 'beat me to it' at 17.01 but still hasn't paid. Another very poor show! I could have at least been given the chance to send payment if you contacted me through pm. Just don't get some people's ethics!

I understand your disappointment over missing out on a great deal.
I explained to you in my PMs why you missed out and why I need to control the sales process. But clearly you're not happy.
My offer was a good one and generated lots of views and interest. Some enquiries came via the thread and some via directly private messages from people who didn’t post on the thread.
I answered all questions put to me and requested that if an enquirer wanted to buy they needed to PM me their PayPal details and I’d invoice them.
I did not ask, or want, anyone to send me money. I wanted to invoice them. Why?
Trading a used turbo on the internet gives plenty of scope for issues and complaint. For example, some people on here seem to think that as it’s an SC36 it’s got to make 360bhp otherwise it’s faulty. Also, from experience (I’m on my 4th turbo) I know that an aftermarket up-pipe might not fit or a down-pipe might be misaligned. There’s lots of scope for problems.
By using the PayPal invoice approach I can specify exact what I’m selling, the description, serial number and, importantly, the terms under which a refund will be considered. When a potential buyer gets the invoice if they don’t like the terms they can bow out and the next person gets a go, otherwise they can pay.
You complain that I allow them time to pay when you'd have paid straight away. This is a ‘distance sale’ of goods unseen and used. And I’m putting conditions (albeit reasonable) on the purchase. I wouldn’t like it if someone pressured me to pay up immediately in those circumstances. I think it’s only fair to allow them some time.
Somebody else sent me their details as requested first. I invoiced them and they paid promptly. So, unfortunately for you, you missed out.
You could take it on the chin and resolve to be quicker next time. Or you can spit out your dummy, throw your toys out of your pram and wail.
Personally, if it were me, I’d have some self-respect.

Are you a business seller or just a pedantic pr1ck?
I told you from 12.51 that I would buy the turbo, you wanted to 'control the sale', which you have the right to do but you could have at least of given me a opportunity to reply to you and even the courtesy of a PM to tell me what you intended to do.
Your reasons for this type of sale are up to you but personally I wouldn't buy from you at all as you are obviously a controlling and manipulative guy who would do anything you could to fob someone off.
I buy a lot of items over forums and from ebay and have never experienced such nonsense over a sale. You can tart it up how you want but it is clear to see you have little or no morals when it come to selling etiquette.
GLWTS of the other turbo and good luck to whoever takes the plunge in buying it!
