Default BC Coilover springs

Right gents, what springs do people recommend for BC BR series coilovers? At the moment I've got the standard 6kg springs and I'm finding them a bit stiff, so would quite like to soften them so I can make a bit more use out of the damping adjustment.

I assume you have 6/5 kg (F/R) springs. Also assume it is a Newage as opposed to a Classic.

I've been running 5/4 kg and I still think they are too stiff. I've spoken with Apex and am advised that 5/4 are the lightest option. I just get the impression there is an imbalance between the spring and the damper settings.
