Default Front axel weight question

Hi

In another thread about lowering springs I have read the below quote from Modrich

What makes a WRX noticeably light over the front axel? Does an STI have that much more front end weight to affect spring compression.

Many thanks

The only extra weight I can think of that an STi has over a WRX is the weight of the 6 speed box and heavier Brembo brakes. Brakes are unsprung though so won't affect spring compression. Not sure how much effect the 6 speed weight would have.
