Default Hi 1st post need help with lowering my 1st Scooby

Hello, this is my first post on thus Forum from sunny Yorkshire UK.
I just picked up my first ever Scooby an 06 plate WRX (Hawkeye) in metallic blue.
As far as I know, the car is standard besides a Raptor backbox. When I got the car, it came with 19" 5 spoke jade-r alloys in grey (which I'm not keen on) but the car is quiet high off the ground and looks a bit odd.
If I changed the wheels to 18" would it look a bit lower or will the height remain the same?
I've been told to look into coilovers but I'm a total noon here and don't know what to look for but at the same time can't really afford to spend a lot on coilovers.
Can anyone please recommend what they would do in this situation?
Cheers

Hello, I think getting rid of the 19" wheels will help and MB developments had a good looking set of bc coilovers for sale recently for £450...

Matty aka MB Developments is the man to ask m8, based in the midlands and trades on here, always very helpful and reliable from my dealings with him, sells on good old eBay as well, search sellers on eBay for mattybr5 and you will find him.

MB developments are a superb breaker. You can find them under the authorised trader section. All the parts I've had from them have been quality, well priced and a sent quickly.

Lovely car. One piece of advice, get it treated against rust. Particularly around the rear arches.

I had that car for a year before selling it to a girl from Sheffield.
Last year I bought a Black WRX hawk and just recently sold that lol.

Now I have another scooby itch however this time I want to go STI.
