Question

Has anyone fitted the leda coilovers and if so do you get the big improvements that scoobysport claim?

Cool

Had them on my MY01 vast improvement over standard in both looks and performance, plus they are rebuildable and fully adjustable, get my vote

I had Ledas fitted to my classic in November last year. Yes they transform how the car handles and feels, but I am having to return the car to them for the second time because the rears rattle so much. Still a great piece of kit though.

At this time of year its very hard to get silent running from any coilovers. The valving and damping oil are designed to offer optimum performance at between 80degC and 150degC, so our current cold weather has the oil at a higher than intended thickness. This translates into drumming and knocking until it warms up.

You can hear the standard dampers doing it, but to a lesser extent as the oil they use is not designed to sustain anything like the temps from a performance coilover. This is why a standard damper can be felt to fade on a hot summer day blast.

so thats why my car bounces more and rolls more when playing in the summer?

feels firmer at first, but then the longer the run the softer/less controlled the car feels? (dont just say its the driver )

how long to ledas last?

Sounds like a common problem. I would have thought that low temperature viscosity modifiers could be used in dampers just like in engine oil??
