I was talking to Scott W yesterday about suspension upgrades and what he has had done to his wagon. Well, seeing as its my birthday next Saturday I thought I should treat myself and so MY99 is booked in this Thursday for the following:

Bumpsteer and geometry
Anti lift kit
Drop links front and rear
Eibachs

Hopefully I will actually be able to use the 260BHP properly after this!

Replacement of rear arb is also a good idea, takes only a few minutes, and stiffens the back no end.

Chris,

Good going! You certainly won't be disappointed with the results.

I take it Len and Phil sorted your brake line out then?

Alcazar, what is the rear arb and do you have any idea of cost?

Scott, brake line should be OK now I just need to keep an eye on it. Remind me not to speak to you in the future about getting the ECU re-mapped, it would appear that conversations cost money! Seriously though, thanks for the advice! Did the new injectors sort out your surging problem?

PS how’s the Beetle going?!

Cheers Chris

Chris, it looks as though the surging is always going to be there Bob was unable to do anything about it and explained why, so it's just a minor downfall. However, the car simply shifts at the moment and I'm grinning like a Cheshire Cat!

No probs for the advice, I just hope that you enjoy the mods. Let me know how you get on.

Scott, what a difference!

They said it was the worst car they had seen for understeer and I would agree with them it was terrible! So now, well I might as well be driving a different car! No understeer, the anti lift kit is superb, still getting used to the ride, but not nearly as hard as I thought it might be, not really pushing the car yet as I want to get used to it all first but overall couldn’t be happier!
So a big thankyou to everyone at Powerstation, very friendly people along with Cheltenham, very nice town with loads of totty!

Chris,

I'm glad you're happy with the results , don't know what I would have done if you hadn't have been!

As for Cheltenham, certainly is a nice place, and the burger shop they took us to when we were down there was superb!

Top blokes, top service, and top smiles afterwards!

Enjoy!
