I have AVO struts on my STi V3. They are now 3000 miles old and one sounds about 3000000000 miles old! (NS rear) It did this almost from new, and I do not rate these cheap units at all.
However you have them on the car. What spring rates do you have?
Mine are 350lbs/300lbs front /rear (I hill climb the car) and it is great over almost any West Midlands road(!)With these springs I have the dampers set at 7 turns from max soft at the front and 5 turns from max soft at the rear. This suits me fine. You may want to set yours a turn softer all round?
As for ride height, I am 30mm lower than STi ride height. for correct ride height look at the Whiteline site (www.whiteline.com.au)it is all there.
I have driven a friends RA V3 with DMS struts, what a difference!
Good luck and come back if you need any other information.
