STi spring rate
#1
I have a STi 5 which has red/pink srings and shocks. I understand their rates are about 220lbs/inch front and 180 rear.
Thinking of fitting different STi springs black with pink dot rated at 5.1kg/mm Front and 4.9kg/mm Rear.
Can anyone convert the rates to compare or add any advice. The black springs do look shorter.
Cheers

5.1 kg/mm = 285 lbs/in
4.9 kg/mm = 274 lbs/in

Sounds a little stiff at the rear end, or soft at the front if you like. There's usually a greater difference between front and rear. These rates would give you more oversteer, or less understeer might be more correct to say. All this in theory
