Sti8 suspension compaired to WRX 3
#1
Can someone explain the exact differences between the Sti8's suspension and the WRX 3's.
The brochure says 'A stiffening support arm has been added to suppress movment in the cross member' and 'The shape of the rear top mount is different'
Are these the ONLY changes?
The reason I ask is all passengers are complaining of constant suspension 'shake!'and I don't know what is causing it.
I found the tyres were all .5 bar over inflated on delivery from the dealers but correcting this only helped the ride a little.
I previously had the 1999 classic turbo 2000 which had an excellent ride and I am currently disapointed.
Can anyone help please

Join the club. I have a My02 Sti but with Wrx suspension. I'm on the waiting list for the Prodrive springs for the Sti and i'm hoping that they will make it a bit more relaxing to drive (ie. less choppy!).

My wife's pregnent, so I had to do something. The WRX suspension has made it a lot smoother, but I have effectively lost my warrenty if Subaru found out. Also, the sti is heaver than the wrx so the car won't perform the way it should.
My first service is in June and i've been told by Prodrive that the springs should be at the dealers by then. As for what difference they will make, I don't know, but quite a lot of people have quite a lot riding on it, he he he.
Cheers
Gareth.
