Unhappy

Can anybody help me, I need to speak to someone who has fitted recently or has bought but not yet fitted some whiteline drop links.

What I need to know is, do the bushes in the rear links use different sized bolts??

If so does the small bolt go through the anti-roll bar or does the large bolt go through there?

Help my car is in pieces and everyone who sells them will be away for the Easter weekend.

Cheers

Thanks Apple and Stefan.
I am ok fitting them but I need to know if the bolt size in the rear or front droplinks differs.

Stefan could I ask you to have a quick look under your car at the rear links, could you tell me if the bolts in the links are the same size for the top and bottom. Also if you could, would it be possible to measure the width of the yellow bush. And if you could do the same for the fronts that would really help me out.

Thanks again for your time
Cheers

Can't help with fronts but I fitted Powerflex rear droplinks (Ta Graham at TSL for the promised delivery ) this morning and the top and bottom bolts are the same size - M10 AFAIR. This is on a bugeye but the kit says it fits all imprezas so should be the same for a classic...

Haven't done many miles yet but you notice a difference around your rear end being less wobbly / less roll and seems to have taken out some of the "nernousness" - just need the springs doing now...

Ozzy's site seems to cover most of your questions but if I get chance, I might have a look under for the bush width although with the close fit (of the powerflex ones anyway) into the lower bracket - just measure that and you shouldn't be too far out.

With the rear kits, the bolts are all the same size.

With the fronts the bolts are different sizes. The top is longer than the bottom.

All the info is on my website. It shows you exactly which bolts to fit and where. The only thing missing is the width of the bushes, but these are the same size as the originals. All of the washers supplied are fitted outside of the bushes, so you should have no movement of the bushes within the OEM brackets.

Why are you concerned about the bolts? Didn't you get all the bolts, washers and nuts with your Whiteline kits?

There's a contents list for each of the kits on my website if you want too check.

Hi
Yup I got all the bolts, but I bought the droplinks off SN and they were a bit tatty so I thought I would get them powder coated.

I took loads of pics before I striped them down but my compact flash card was corrupted.

So when I came to put them back together I didn’t have a reference – hence all the questions.

I think I have it now, the rear drop links have the same size bolts (both length and diameter) and so the bushes will be the same also. The fronts have a different size bolts, the top bolt is larger in both length and diameter to the bottom bolt. The top front bolt (the large one) is the same size as the rear.

Does any of this make sense and if so am I right?
Thanks for all the help so far..........
Cheers
