rb, you'd need height adjustable coilovers to get that right. if you took a chance with lowering springs then added the wheels it might rub and you'd have to make panel mods (rolled arches).

You can fit 19s to a New Age car if you fit 35 profile tyres.

Whilst they look the nuts, there is a price to pay in unsprung weight and handling on poorly surfaced roads.

Surely that depends on whether or not your 19" Wheel/tyre combo is heavier or lighter than the OE wheel tyre combo Pete?

Correct Matt.

Leaving aside magnesium wheels, I would be very concerned about wheel strength if a 19" set up was lighter than the standard 17" wheel and tyre combo.

A 35 profile has virtually no give at all so any loading is transfered directly to the wheel. It needs to be strong to avoid suffering road damage and this will almost certainly mean that it is not lighter.

IIRC, the 19" OZ Super-Ls (which are what I think are pictured) with tyres are lighter than the OE wheel/tyre combo. I would have thought you can rely on the quality of OZ wheels?
