There's a spring kit for the STi7 and a different one for the STi8.
The kit for the STi7 is part number SSACC2554 and it cost me 195 quid inc VAT from my local dealer, parts supplied only.
Fitting was done by Powerstation but I forget what they charged, 80 quid perhaps.

Getting my sti8 done on friday at a cost of £388 compared to £518 at a dealer, and that is with prodrive springs. I have driven one with the springs done and is 100% better. It is being done in Cheltenham Glos. Hope this is of some help.

Was quoted 350 (inc VAT & fitting) by my dealer ... just have to contact my insurance peeps and see if any additional premium.
The quote was back in mid-Nov '03, here's hoping it still stands
Ooops ... meant to say it's for an STi8

The STi 7 (MY02) springs retail I think for £165 and the dealer makes about a 25% profit on them so you now know how hard to haggle....
An important part of fitting them is getting a decent Geometry setup after so I would personally recommend getting Powerstation or TSL to fit them and then do the Geom after.

Would the warranty still be vallid if non Subaru fitted? I'm thinking of doing the same as you guys, waiting for quotes. At present though I have no rattles that some are experiencing with the late models. So dont want to provoke any or have probs latter if I did and called in warranty.

Update: been in contact with the service dept. ... it would seem the sales guy was looking at the wrong data (story of my life) so the quote is now 470 (inc VAT & fitting).
Not as nice as 350 but from what I've read on the web the springs are worth it so I'll probably go ahead anyway.

gnome, is your price of £388 from Powerstation inc VAT, or plus VAT? Also how long did it take to get your car booked in at Powerstation, as I'm seriously considering the Prodrive Spring Kit and using Powerstation.
Plus I'd be very interested in your what you think of the Springs and Powerstation.
Thanks.

Right where do i start, really fed up today, skipped of work today so l lost a lot of money, traffic was crap driving to cheltenham today, when i got there springs had not turned up so he rang dealers and they said he had not ordered them, was i anoyed or what, but then it got a bit better, decided to drive to Bristol to dealers. A month ago was quoted £518 from them so i asked why they were so much more exspensive, it turned out the parts department gave me the wrong price for the parts but the labour is more exspensive. Anyway while i was there the service manager was on the phone to someone else about a price which i think turns out to be, this is a guess MiKKK, so you know that story, anyway got a better price and they have ordered them for me, hopefully will go to plan soon.

Forgot to say how helpfull they were in Bristol, Powerstation did say sorry and it is just an experience to walk through the workshop with all the cars in there. I would go there again.

Gnome: I would also be very interested in what price your dealer finally gave you, and who they are. As I'm off to have a chat with my local dealer this week to see if they can do a lower price!!

The dealer has finally found them it is booked in for service so getting them fitted at same time got quoted £195 for spring inc VAT and £105 fitting excl VAT so it work out at about £325 all in. Dont know what the service will cost yet tho!!
