Question Creaking back suspension :(

My WRX03 creaks really badly from the rear on the passenger side when I brake, or when I open the boot and push the rear of the car down.
However, it only appears to creak when the car is *higher than normal* in the back (such as would happen when you brake and the car bogs down, or after you push the rear down and it repels back up).

Is creaking rear suspension a known fault?

Up until about a week ago, it has always felt like the car's been tip-toeing around corners and stuff (now 6200 miles), but now it feels really really planted to the road, and lots more confidence inspiring. Incidentically, the creaking started about a week ago

Do you guys think the damper/spring/something else is knackered, does it just need to be tightened up and more importantly, will the dealer fleece me and say i broke it?

I had the same problem, and it was the solid drop links. I purchased one set and found the top and bottom bush bolt holes were not 100mm apart. After one week the car started to creak. This is due to the ARB misaligning the bushes and the metal sleeve knocks against the solid drop link. The only ones that I know are correct are Power Sations solid Whiteline links. Problem now gone!!!
