MY02 - Rear Strut Brace - how to fit
hi there,
I've just received a STi Rear Strut brace for my MY02 STi as a birthday present.
Question is, how the hell do I fit it ?
Just pearing inside the boot reveals nothing ?
Anyone got some fitting tips they can put my way, maybe some photo's too.
THANKS !
Mark.

Mark,
To fit it you have to take the back seat out then undo the rear strut bolts and fit the rear brace ends ontop, replace the bolts then fit the bar between them then tighten all the brace bolts up once you have taken the rear seat out you will see much easier how it goes together. Hope the info is of some help.

Mark,
Watch out when lifting the seats through the doors, as the fixing loops stick out from the seat, and I damaged my paintwork getting them through the door. (This was to fit the Prodrive springs, don't have a strut brace yet)
I think you will also have to ease/cut the trim around the suspension towers to fit the brace.

Cool.
Job now done. Took a few hours today (no rush), took out the seats, nice and easy.
Yes indeed, there is some cutting that needs doing (I took some pics, will post later), but essentially once that is done its just a case of slotting it all into place and then tightening up everything.
Oh, and it looks good too
