Question Typical suspension life?

My STi v3 is coming up to 90k miles, and as far as I know its still on the standard suspension. Whats the typical lifetime of struts/springs, and how can I test them.

They currently don't make any untoward noises, so I've been assuming they are still OK.

cheers,
dela

I have been told that dampers will last 60k miles before needing a rebuild, springs a bit longer. Having said that, the Prodrive suspension on my MY98 UK did just over 100k before it bit the dust, although I could tell it was on its way out for the last few thousand miles. One of my dampers then seized, which basically meant no suspension travel whatsoever on that corner, and made the car very unpleasant to drive.
