Please can i have your opinions on the various makes of lowering springs on the market i want to fit a set to my bugeye jdm wrx and dont want to find that after fitting them that the cars not that much lower, could do with about a 40mm drop also dont want them to hard either.
As you can see plenty of room under the arches.

I got Eibachs on my MY03 WRX. They only lower around the 25 mm mark as far as i know. 40 mm? And you dont want it hard? LOL.
Err, i cant see that happening. That is a fair drop. My springs certainly alter the ride. Now i would not say it is hard, but it is more so than it was when standard.
Makes the car solid imho. Loads better.

Hoping to find a progressive wound set of springs that are not to hard for normal use, I know that most aftermarket springs are going to be fairly stiff but a little bit of give would be nice, Eibachs are my choice but i think i might need something a little lower as you can see from the pic plenty of room.

I like the wheelarch gap, very handy when your hooning it around these very bumpy lanes-more susp travel means more grip when the going gets rough It also helps the front splitter miss the driveway.
If you must then Prodrive or Eibach get good reviews on here.

H&R srings are what i'd tell you to get. They do drop it by 30-35mm and although it does stiffen it up, it don't too much that you'll not like it.

40mm is quite low
car will handle like poo

it'll bottom out, wont corner as well
but if you're all about looks? H&R's or Teins (if you can get them)
will do the trick

personally, i wouldnt go below 20mm...

Interesting that you think the handling will that bad with a 40mm drop have you any more info as lots of people fit lowering springs with a big improvement.

I got my tein lowering springs for my classic from www.camskill.co.uk very reasonable price. they lowered it about 30mm and the ride isnt too hard.
