Default D2 racing coilover Suspension

Anyone tried D2 racing coilover Suspension on a classic? I'm loooking to replace the suspension on my P1 and wondered if this would be suitable? Spring rates are 8.5 frt 7.4 rear, is this to hard?

Yes, use the search tool. Pretty cheerful for such a cheap product, my opinion after 15 months' use. Didn't try the standard rates (7/4 for classic in my catalog) - I started with 6/4, now using 5/4 and it's a bit uncompromising for daily use.

Ah - are you talking about the new remote reservoir jobs? If they're quoting spring-rates that high, then they're even further from most people's opinion of what works for all-round use.

Very happy with its trackday handling...

IMHO:
60/50 for a HARD Race / Road spec
50/40 for a stiff road/race spec
40/30 for a close to stock spec.

A smooth track setup mate.
Your car (going by your profile) is a newage, hence the stiffer springs due to the extra weight, but a 90/70 is a track setup, with the need for slicks to get the maximum out of it.
Can't say much about the D2s but 8.5/7.4 (ie 85/74) would be too stiff for the road on a classic IMO.

90/70?

I just cannot see how you can drive briskly on a West Midlands B or A road!

I wonder about dropping back to 50/40 for this years races to get some suppleness back.

Still, you have that TerryB bloke in your sights now!

Graham.

Or east midlands, or yorkshire, or scotland, or...

Seriously, does it not just leap everywhere if driven over a b-road? How much road use does it see? Do you ever have passengers?

Is it not going to be relative to the weight of the car graham?

I have no basis for comparison so i cant really comment further, but they seem perfectly fine on the road for me....
