I HAVE A CLUNCKING SOUND FROM THE NSR SHOCK ON MY V5STI,TRIING TO FIGURE OUT IF ITS THE TOP MOUNT OR ACTUAL SHOCK ITSELF,IT CLUNCKS WHEN GOING OVER ANY SORT OF BUMP,DOES SOUND LIKE ITS FROM TOP,I TRIED TO TIGHTEN UP TOP MOUNT BUT ALL NUTS SEEMED TIGHT,THE SUSPENSION STILL FELLS VERY FIRM WHEN DRIVING,ANYONE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO CHECK BOTH PARTS..BEFORE I SPEND A FORTUNE FOR NOTHING.

jack the car up and put a bit of silicon lube on the sliding part of the shock (shiney bit), if this eliminates the problem you know the shock is the cause. I had same problem with mine and found that it was the shock sticking. Lubing it is only a temporary fix though.

Good luck, Steve
